Privacy Policy
How Jakomu handles information.
This policy explains what we collect through the Jakomu website, why we collect it, and how to contact us about your information.
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Overview
Jakomu builds websites and web applications for small businesses. When you use this website, submit an audit request, contact us, or report an accessibility issue, we collect only the information needed to respond, operate the site, protect the service, and improve our work.
Information We Collect
- Contact and audit request details, such as name, email address, phone number, business website, project notes, and the message you submit.
- Requested website audit data, such as page URLs reviewed, timestamps, general performance metrics, accessibility signals, search and content observations, technical configuration signals, and related findings needed to prepare and keep a record of the audit.
- Accessibility report details, such as your name, email address, affected page or feature, issue description, and optional device or assistive technology information.
- Website attribution details, such as UTM campaign parameters in the page URL, stored temporarily in your browser session so we can understand which visit led to a form submission.
- Basic preference data, such as your light or dark theme choice stored in your browser.
- Technical and security information, such as request time, page path, browser metadata, IP address, and server logs generated by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your contact, audit, service, or accessibility request.
- To prepare requested website audits, store related audit findings, and send requested follow-up, including internal notifications and future audit-related emails.
- To understand how people find the website and improve the site experience.
- To operate, secure, debug, and maintain the website and related systems.
- To keep business records related to inquiries, follow-up, and support.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, host data, send email, manage infrastructure, or maintain business systems. These providers may include cloud hosting, database, email, DNS, repository, monitoring, and productivity tools. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate misuse of the website.
Cookies And Browser Storage
The current Jakomu website does not use advertising cookies. It does use browser storage for limited site behavior: theme preference may be stored in local storage, and UTM attribution parameters may be stored in session storage for the current browser session. Your browser controls can clear or block this storage, but some preferences may reset.
State Privacy Requests
Some state privacy laws, including California privacy laws, give eligible residents rights related to personal information. Jakomu does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use advertising cookies on the current website. Because of that, we do not provide a separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" button at this time.
If our practices change, we will update this policy and add any required privacy controls. You can still send privacy, deletion, correction, or opt-out requests to hello@jakomu.net, and we will review them based on the information we have and the laws that apply.
Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. The current Jakomu website does not use third-party advertising trackers or sell/share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no advertising sale or sharing flow for those signals to disable. If we add advertising or cross-site tracking technology later, we will update this policy and honor required browser-based opt-out signals where applicable.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including responding to requests, maintaining records, resolving issues, meeting legal obligations, and protecting the service. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
Your Choices
You can ask us to update, correct, or delete information you submitted, subject to legal, security, and business record needs. You can also ask us not to send non-essential follow-up. To make a request, email us at hello@jakomu.net.
Children
The Jakomu website is intended for business users and is not directed to persons under the age of 13. If you believe a person under the age of 13 has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Updates
We may update this policy as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.
